Dr. Bonnie Cronin completed her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Masters in Acupuncture at Bastyr University, the leading accredited university for science-based natural medicine. After medical school, she completed a residency in General Family Practice at Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic in Clifton Springs, New York.
Dr. Cronin’s interest in natural medicine started at Northern Michigan University (NMU) where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology. While attending NMU she joined a homeopathy study group started by a good friend and life mentor, Vicki Lockwood. This is where her interest in homeopathy and then natural medicine came to fruition. Currently, she has a private practice called North Shore Naturopathic and Acupuncture, in two accessible locations: in Canandaigua, New York, and Marquette, MI.
Dr. Cronin is a Washington State licensed naturopathic physician, New York State Licensed Acupuncturist and Michigan Registered Acupuncturist. She is a member of the American Association for Naturopathic Physicians and is a Diplomate in Acupuncture.
Currently, in Michigan & New York State, there is no law regulating the practice of naturopathic medicine or naturopathic doctors. Until legislation passes granting naturopathic doctors’ licensure in Michigan & New York State, Dr. Cronin cannot practice medicine. With her rigorous academic & clinical naturopathic education, Dr. Cronin makes recommendations and educates individuals on lifestyle, diet, nutritional and botanical modalities that can improve health and well-being. In addition, Dr. Cronin requests that individuals seeking her services retain a conventional medical doctor or primary care physician for their health concerns and general check-ups. In Michigan & New York State naturopathic doctors are currently seeking licensure.
